Why computers stink

PostMon May 22, 2006 7:28 am

Last night I came to school about 10 and didn't leave until well after midnite because I have a sub today and my grades are due and all kinds of crap and I don't want to just leave Ruby all night so I wait until she's in bed. Then this morning our very own computer genius Dave comes in my room and says what were doing here last night? While I didn't restrict myself to just work, I tried to find some people with a people finder engine thingy, I installed some kind of DVD player thingy and I did a bunch of random searching for stuff. My computer apparently got into searching for some "hot babes" also. So Dave is worried I have some sort of nasty surfy spythingy. I hate computers.

Why do you hate them?

I will be in the middle of working on something wicked important... at which point my computer decides it is time for a vacation....leaving me in absolute panic. I hate that I have to rely on them so much.

Hmm... I frankly don't hate computers. It's not their fault that they suck, it's their operating system.

Unless your talking about our mail server. I kinda do hate that computer. It freezes way too much.

The most annoying thing I find about computers is when I'm trying to fix one and the owner of it keeps standing over my shoulder asking if what I just did fixed it. That is sooo annoying.

Or, how 13 people ask me to hook their computers up all at the same time and expect it to be done instantly, as if I have magic powers.

grr.

I mostly find the problems in some computers to be an I.D.10T error.

Dealing with computers is like is like being a diplomat. Or rather, a diplomat during gunboat diplomacy.

The biggest problem with computers (in my personal experience) is patience, or the lack thereof. I myself have been known at times to become frustrated to "Hulksmashrar" mode when dealing with certain computers (ie The Mediacenter). I find that when frustration sets in that I need to get as far away from any computer in existence and just cool off. I can't even begin to count the times that after I cooled off that the problem that was bugging me either healed itself or was simply fixed by something I overlooked.

Basically, computers are hard to understand and easy to break.

Just gotta know when to smash, and when to walk away.

It sucks, but so does everything else. >.>

I hate 2 things about computers 1 is that they cost soo much and two is that i always get a "splooge drive" error when i try to install games.
